Most Full Coverage Affordable Foundation? Review

Did you guess the foundation?

Make-Up Revolution Fast Base Foundation Stick

The new Make-up Revolution foundation stick flooded the internet with its full coverage claims at only £5! With so much hype about the concealer, there were high expectations for their foundation.

Shades F2 (left) and F6 (right)
There are 18 shades in this range which come in all undertones; pink, neutral and yellow. I ordered two shades; F2 which is for fair skin with yellow undertones and shade F6 for light/medium skin with yellow undertones, so I planned on mixing them both.

The consistency of stick foundations always make me feel like they will be heavy and cakey but this was quite the opposite. It glided on effortlessly and although it wasn't the easiest to blend, the finish looked amazing. I never usually use a brush to blend foundation but I did find it was the preferred method for this foundation.

The Final Look
I was actually shocked at the amount of coverage I got from this foundation. I would say you can achieve a full coverage but it can look slightly cakey in any fine lines, I found this in my smile lines, and I did feel like you use quite a lot of product to achieve this look but for £5 I feel like it may be worth it. The amount of coverage you can get from this foundation compared to other drugstore foundations, that range from £10-£15, I think it's worth the money.

I have combination skin, an oily t-zone but normal skin everywhere else and it held up in all areas. I don't know why I expected it to have a matte finish but it had a slight dew which I appreciated it on the overall look. I don't like formulas which are dry and tight but prefer ones which have a more 'skin like' finish which this definitely did.

Overall, I really did like this foundation and will repurchase this. Makeup revolution are absolutely killing it with products at the minute!

Have you tried this foundation? What did you think? What is your favourite foundation?

Let me know!
