Jeffree Star Cosmetics x Manny MUA Collaboration: Review and Swatches

I was so excited when Jeffree Star Cosmetics and Manny MUA announced their collaboration and after seeing the reveal I knew I had to have it.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics vs Manny MUA Collaboration

I ordered the Skin Frost shade 'Eclipse' (£25.50) and one, out of the two, velour liquid lipstick shades 'Daddy' (£16) from www.beautybay.com. As I am from the UK, Beauty Bay are an official distributor for Jeffree Star Cosmetics, shipping is free to the UK when you spend over £15 so you don't get charged customs if ordering from www.jeffreestarcosmetics.com in the UK.

Top Swatch is Skin Frost 'Eclipse' vs MUA Undress your Skin 'Pink Shimmer''

Above are swatches from the Skin Frost 'Eclipse' (£25.50) which is the more golden colour at the top, compared to the MUA Undress your Skin (£3) in 'Pink Shimmer' below it. In the pan 'Eclipse' looked a lot more pink than when it was on the skin, which I actually loved. It complemented my skin tone so well and gave a 'natural' highlight.

Skin Frost 'Eclipse'
I normally apply my highlighter with my B. fan brush (£7.99), but with this product it just didn't pick up or give off any pigment. I then used my Real Techniques Setting brush (£7.99) which changed the game. This highlighter is very buildable, it wasn't completely blinding with one swipe but it gave off a nice highlight. In the above picture was one swirl in the pan and a few strokes on the high points of my cheek. It wasn't powdery or chalky and I've used it every day since I got it!

Velour Liquid Lipstick 'Daddy'
The liquid lipstick shade 'Daddy' is everything! I love a nude lip, its basically the only colour lip I wear and that I feel comfortable wearing because its not too bold or out there.
Shade comparison of Jeffree star Cosmetics, NYX and Kylie Cosmetics
I love the NYX Lip Lingere in Corset, NYX Liquid Suede in Sandstorm, Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lip in Dolce K and Mailboo.

Velour Liquid Lipstick 'Daddy'
This liquid lip does dry completely matte but compared to ones by Kylie Cosmetics they are less drying on my lips. They didn't crack or crumble and even after I ate, I asked my boyfriend if it had rubbed off but he complimented me and said how good it looked. This formula has easily become one of my favourite and now I need to buy more!

It is currently 3 for 2 on Jeffree Star Cosmetics (not including this collaboration) on www.beautybay.com so if you know you love these formulas or want to try them then now is the time!

The collaboration is returning May 13th if you haven't already got it and want to try it!

Have you tried the collection? What did you think of it?
What are your favourite highlighters and liquid lipsticks?

Let me know!

Sophie x
